Was dieses Werkzeug tut What this tool does

Wenn ein Forschungsoutput substanziell normative Ansprüche macht — eine politische Theorie, eine ethische Position, ein normativ-philosophisches Argument — ist die normative Position selbst eine methodologisch relevante Eigenschaft des Arguments. Die drei klassischen Schichten des Schichten-Verbunds (Quellenlückenprüfung, Logikwahl, Selbstversuch) markieren Korpus-Filterung, Schluss-Schema und Subjekt-Status — aber nicht die normative Position des Arguments selbst.

Dieses Werkzeug operationalisiert eine mögliche vierte Schicht in fünf Marker-Fragen. Es liefert kein Urteil über das Argument, sondern eine Reflexivitäts-Heuristik: macht die normative Position als Position sichtbar, schützt vor Zirkularitäts-Vorwürfen, und produziert ein strukturiertes JSON-Output, das einem Forschungsoutput als methodologischer Anhang beigefügt werden kann.

When a research output makes substantively normative claims — a political theory, an ethical position, a normative-philosophical argument — the normative position itself is a methodologically relevant property of the argument. The three classical layers of the layer compound (source-gap audit, logic selection, self-experiment) mark corpus filtering, inference schema, and subject status — but not the normative position of the argument itself.

This tool operationalizes a possible fourth layer in five marker questions. It delivers no judgment on the argument, but a reflexivity heuristic: it makes the normative position visible as a position, protects against circularity charges, and produces a structured JSON output that can be appended to a research output as methodological annex.

1 Position-Identifikation Position identification

Welche normative Position nimmt das Argument ein? What normative position does the argument take?

Was die Frage einfordert: eine positive Formulierung der normativen Setzung in einem Satz, als propositionaler Inhalt der argumentiert werden kann. Nicht "ich operiere aus liberaler Perspektive" — das wäre eine Standpoint-Aussage. Sondern: "X hat normativen Vorrang vor Y, wo die Bedingungen Z, W erfüllt sind." What the question demands: a positive formulation of the normative setting in one sentence, as propositional content that can be argued. Not "I operate from a liberal perspective" — that would be a standpoint statement. Rather: "X has normative priority over Y, where conditions Z, W are fulfilled."

2 Position-Erwerb Position acquisition

Wie wurde diese Position erworben? How was this position acquired?

Drei archetypische Modi: vor-theoretisch (aus Erfahrung, Werte-Sozialisation, ethischer Intuition gesetzt; Theorie begründet ex post); theoretisch (aus der Theoriearbeit selbst emergiert); Rückkopplung (vor-theoretische Intuition durch theoretische Auseinandersetzung modifiziert). Ehrlichkeit über den tatsächlichen Modus zählt — die häufigste Selbsttäuschung ist, vor-theoretischen Positionen einen theoretischen Erwerbsmodus zuzuschreiben. Three archetypal modes: pre-theoretical (set from experience, value socialization, ethical intuition; theory justifies ex post); theoretical (emerges from theoretical work itself); feedback (pre-theoretical intuition modified through theoretical engagement). Honesty about the actual mode counts — the most common self-deception is attributing pre-theoretical positions a theoretical acquisition mode.

3 Linsen-Auswahl Lens selection

Welche Linsen wurden in das Argument hineingenommen, welche nicht? Warum? Which lenses were brought into the argument, which were not? Why?

Operiert parallel zu Schicht 5 (Quellenlückenprüfung), aber an anderem Punkt: Schicht 5 fragt nach Korpus-Filterung (was ist im Material präsent?); Marker 3 fragt nach Theorie-Auswahl (welche der präsenten Linsen wurden aktiv genutzt?). Kurze Begründung der aktiv verwendeten und der bewusst nicht-verwendeten Theorie-Traditionen. Operates parallel to Layer 5 (source-gap audit) but at a different point: Layer 5 asks about corpus filtering (what is present in the material?); Marker 3 asks about theory selection (which of the present lenses were actively used?). Brief justification of the actively used and consciously non-used theory traditions.

4 Kontrafaktisches Argument Counterfactual argument

Was wäre das Argument, wenn die normative Position umgekehrt wäre? What would the argument be if the normative position were reversed?

Anti-Zirkularitäts-Prüfung. Wenn die Argumentstruktur identisch wäre — Linsen, Schemata, Schlussweisen — und nur die Konklusion umgekehrt, ist das Argument zirkulär. Wenn die Argumentstruktur substanziell anders wäre, ist das Argument tatsächlich theoriegetrieben. Max. zwei Absätze, strukturelle Beobachtung statt vollständiges Gegenargument. Anti-circularity check. If the argument structure would be identical — lenses, schemata, inference paths — and only the conclusion reversed, the argument is circular. If the argument structure would be substantially different, the argument is genuinely theory-driven. Max. two paragraphs, structural observation rather than complete counter-argument.

5 Position-im-Argument Position-in-argument

Wo im Argument operiert die normative Position als Prämisse, wo als Konklusion? Where in the argument does the normative position operate as premise, where as conclusion?

Ungefähre Verortung, nicht zeilenweise Auswertung. Wo Position als Prämisse operiert, ist das nicht zirkulär, sondern fundierend — eine Wissenschaft ohne Setzungen ist unmöglich. Wo Position als Konklusion operiert, folgt sie aus den Theorie-Linsen. Beide Modi sind methodisch legitim; Marker 5 verlangt nur, dass sie unterschieden werden. Approximate locating, not line-by-line evaluation. Where position operates as premise, that is not circular but foundational — a science without settings is impossible. Where position operates as conclusion, it follows from the theory lenses. Both modes are methodologically legitimate; Marker 5 demands only that they are distinguished.

Methodische Hinweise Methodological notes

Was das Tool nicht tut:
  • Es neutralisiert das Argument nicht. Marker 4 ist strukturelle Beobachtung, nicht alternative Theoriearbeit.
  • Es macht keine Standpoint-Pflicht. Die fünf Marker sind Reflexivitäts-Heuristik, nicht epistemologisches Programm.
  • Es ersetzt keine ethische Vorprüfung. ETHOSLAB-Domänen bleiben eigenständig vor und neben diesem Tool.
Anschluss an die anderen Werkzeuge:
  • Marker 3 (Linsen-Auswahl) dockt an Logikwähler-Output an.
  • Marker 4 (Kontrafaktisches) kann durch den Konvergenz-Rechner gestützt werden — "Position umkehren" entspricht einer Sensitivity-Removal aller positiven Linsen.
What the tool does not do:
  • It does not neutralize the argument. Marker 4 is structural observation, not alternative theoretical work.
  • It does not impose a standpoint duty. The five markers are reflexivity heuristic, not epistemological program.
  • It does not replace ethical pre-check. ETHOSLAB domains remain independent before and alongside this tool.
